Club members completed a Sponsored Swim to raise money to support Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign and Droitwich Lifesavers. 3910 lengths were swam in total on the night and we'll update you with the total amount raised once we've collected all the money.
RLSS UK Kicks off 125 fundraising
To mark the Royal Life Saving Society’s 125th anniversary year, staff at RLSS UK HQ have been set a challenge to raise funds. Everyone has been encouraged to get involved, with some even challenging themselves to raise £125 each.
So far, we have swimmers and runners committed to complete distances of 125-miles and 125-kilometres respectively over the year, and they’re already making great inroads.
A special JustGiving campaign page has been set up where you can read more about the different challenges. You can, of course, donate – or even add your own fundraising page!
View the campaign here.
We also have our amazing 125th Anniversary pin badges available to buy RLSS Direct.
An exciting opportunity for 18-30 year olds!
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has in the past year launched their report into the global drowning issue which it has measured as being a health concern at epidemic levels. Estimated at more than 40 drownings across the world each hour.
RLSS UK is committed to playing its part in taking ownership of the share of this burden.
In August 2016 the Commonwealth Youth Ambassador Programme will run as a direct result and will equip our skilled and passionate youth members, 18-30 year olds, with a range of skills and experiences to build the necessary tools to contribute.
