Seniors - Survive & Save Program

Our Seniors classes are split into 3 groups and work towards the RLSS UK Survive and Save Program, these groups are working through the Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels within the program and classes run from 6pm - 8pm.

RLSS UK’s Survive & Save Programme is the lifesaving awards programme for teens and adults (12years+). The awards are challenging but fun to complete and they are arranged into Bronze, Silver and Gold levels to ensure that you continue to develop your lifesaving skills as you progress through the awards.

The awards teach lifesaving rescue, self-rescue, survival, lifesaving sport skills and also develop swimming ability and fitness.

There are four award areas to achieve, the Medallion Awards, the Beach Awards, the Stillwater Awards and the Sport Awards and you can choose to specialise in one area or learn a broader range of skills by completing multiple awards.

Rookies - Rookie Lifeguard Program

Our Rookie classes are split into 3 groups and work towards the RLSS UK Rookie Lifeguard Program, these groups are working through the Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels within the program and classes run from 6pm - 7pm.

The RLSS UK Rookie Lifeguard programme is a popular, fun and educational junior award scheme for all 8 to 12-year-olds*. For most children Rookie Lifeguard will be the first opportunity to explore water safety and learn valuable life skills.

Rookie Lifeguard skills make Rookies aware of how to take care of themselves, their family and friends and give them the information they need to promote water safety in their day-to-day activities. The awards contain survival, rescue and sports skills as well as life support and water safety elements – all delivered in a fun and exciting way making it a great addition to swimming lessons or progression from them.

Rookie Lifeguard is aimed at children aged 8 to 12 years* although most of the skills can be taught to people of all ages. Starting with Stage 1 of the Bronze Award and progressing through to Stage 3 of the Gold Award, Rookie Lifeguard begins at an ability level suitable for swimmers who have just learned to swim and progresses to the level of performing lifesaving tows.
